28 Mar The main changes about Salone del Mobile 2023
The Salone del Mobile, the quintessential design and furniture fair scheduled from 18 to 23 April at Fiera Milano Rho, is almost back.
The 61st edition of the “Salone del Mobile” continues the process of transformation and evolution of the exhibition started in recent years, innovating the exhibition format with the aim of responding to the challenges that the design sector must face today.
The event will feature 1,962 exhibitors, including over 550 young talents under 35 and 27 design schools.
There are three main changes of the 2023 edition of the “Salone del Mobile”. One of them is the choice of a single exhibition level, with the exhibitors of the upper pavilions relocated to the lower ones to improve and enhance the user experience for buyers and experts.
The City of Lights is the chosen theme declined in an urban way: as in a bright city in the exhibition space, the stands become showcases overlooking the streets, alternated by complementary services for relaxation and conviviality, such as coffee, seating, areas for charging electronic devices.
A changing and varied view, where you can also find a bistro and a restaurant.
This edition is characterised by sustainability, following a path started with the special 2021 supersalone and continued last year with the Design with Nature exhibition.
The organizers have identified, for the construction of the common areas, suppliers of recycled materials, recyclable, reusable, and studied a plan for the regeneration of resources and the absorption of waste products.
There will also be cultural events, hosted in the spaces of the biennial of light between exhibitions, talks, workshops and site-specific installations.
As every year, DiCOmo will be at the Fair, to view and study the new market proposals, to expose them to its partners in order to be increasingly proactive and oriented towards sustainability. In addition to this, for our company this will also be an opportunity to engage customers and direct them towards the innovations in the field of furniture, in order to remain up-to-date.
