Presentation of the book Luca Serafini: “Il cuore di un uomo”

Olivier Chignoli, director and founder of DiCOmo srl, thanks to his great sporting passion, as well as his stubbornness, will, commitment, with the help of three “rossoneri” friends, founded the Milan Club Cernobbio: a young association, but ambitious, which aims to awaken the “rossonera” passion in Como.

The new Club, in addition to stimulating the sporting passion, has decided to promote cultural initiatives and charity events, which are perfectly linked to the constant presence of the DiCOmo in the social, local and national fields.

As for the cultural field, among the events sponsored by MCC, emerges the presentation of the latest book by Luca Serafini: “Il cuore di un uomo “ (The heart of a man – Rizzoli), which was held Friday, October 28th at the Osteria Cantinafrasca in Cernobbio.

Luca Serafini, known to the television and social media public to follow Milan for years, presented himself in Cernobbio as the author of a book that does not mention Milan.

His last work, in fact, is a biography of the Argentine doctor René Favaloro, considered the father of aortic-coronary bypass. A historical and scientific research built as a novel that has repaid Serafini with many awards. Later, with the moderation of Stefano Ravaglia, Serafini spoke about how the idea of the book was born and how it was developed, closing with answers to the questions of those present.

At the end of the first part of the evening, Ravaglia himself presented his latest work: “Milan on fire” (available on Amazon), in which he took care of the history of the last scudetto (Italian championship).

Among the audience was also Jacopo Galvani, sports journalist and novelist, who announced the upcoming release of “La donna che non c’è” (The woman who is not there – Ed. Scatole Parlanti), in which he tried to explain his “utopian” point of view on love. Later, before sitting at the table, all the members present had the opportunity to buy a copy of the book, which the author personally signed on the spot.

After the cultural part, the evening has resulted in an atmosphere of conviviality and tasty anecdotes related to Milan given to the public.
The dinner, consisting of two appetizers, a first and a second course, was served at the tables of the excellent “Osteria Cantinafrasca” of Cernobbio, which has not spared on the good wine selected from those on sale in his wine shop.

During this phase, the President Olivier Chignoli, along with some members of the board, handed to Luca Serafini a MCC Milan t-shirt in memory of the event, at the end of which the author dismissed the guests by answering their last questions and curiosity.

In conclusion, social commitment can be manifested in different ways, also through the support and enhancement of a book that can help us understand how a “simple” doctor has changed the lives of many for the better.
